HANDS-ON TREATMENT & MANAGEMENT
Hands on treatment (manual therapy) is therapeutic.
This may include: moving joints in a specific direction and at varying speeds, muscle stretching, or moving your body against resistance.
Research isn’t entirely sure of the effectiveness of manual therapy, however, it may provide some symptomatic relief and kick start your recovery.
Manual Therapy techniques include:
Massage including soft and deep tissue: effleurage, petrissage, compression, friction, rocking, shaking, vibration
Myofascial Release Technique (Trigger Point Therapy)
Joint Mobilisation, Joint Articulation, Manipulation, Adjustment, High Velocity-Low Amplitude Thrust
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Muscle Stretching
Dry Needling via the use of acupuncture needles
